EU import conditions for animal products
Products of animal origin can only enter the EU from countries and establishments the EU has approved, with an official health certificate, through an EU border control post. Exporting countries also need an approved residue monitoring plan.
Who it affects
Exporters of animal products to the EU, their slaughterhouses and processing plants, and the competent authority in the exporting country.
What it requires
- Exporting country and establishment approved by the EU
- Official health certificate for each consignment
- Residue monitoring and veterinary controls
- Checks at an EU border control post
How POINT helps
POINT captures this evidence in the field and keeps it linked through every handoff, so it's ready to share when a buyer, auditor or authority asks.
- Establishment and batch records
