GCC food import requirements
Gulf states require imported food to be registered with the national food authority, labelled in Arabic to Gulf (GSO) standards, and shipped with health or phytosanitary certificates and a certificate of origin. Shipments can be sampled and tested at the border.
Each Gulf state runs its own registration system and requirements change. Confirm the current rules with the importing country's food authority.
